Week 3 – Day 5 – Fridaywk03d05

Read Romans 11:33-36; Luke 2:14 SOAP Romans 11:36 – To glorify His Name

FRIDAY ROMANS 11: 33-36 33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! 34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” 35 “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” 36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
LUKE 2:14 14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

O – God is SO big…. So large, so unsearchable, that we cannot possibly understand Him. This passage uses words like “depth”, “unsearchable”, and “inscrutable”. Inscrutable is “past finding out!” God’s counsel is beyond our understanding. BUT = we can also know that all things are “FROM HIM,” “THROUGH HIM,” and “TO HIM.” God’s plan is of Him – we couldn’t design it – even if we tried or worked with many “intelligent” people. God’s plan is THROUGH HIM – through Jesus Christ, we have salvation. God’s plan gives the glory TO Him! TO Him – be glory forever!

A – So much to think about….. the depth of God’s wisdom and knowledge. His Person. But, most of all – who can repay God for what HE has done?? I certainly can’t. I can’t even BEGIN to…. BUT – I can give Him glory. Simply give Him glory. Give Him the honor that He is due. Live so that HE is glorified, through me. In me.

P – Father God, I cannot begin to express my gratitude for what You have done. May my life today, and always, be lived to give You praise and honor and glory. As Jesus lived to glorify You, may I as well. Thank You. May You be praised. Amen.

Rose of Bethlehem – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4ZSiDul54M

There’s a Rose in Bethlehem
With a beauty quite divine
Perfect in this world of sin
On this silent holy night

There’s a fragrance much like hope
That it sends upon the wind
Reaching out to every soul
From a lowly manger’s crib

Oh, Rose of Bethlehem
How lovely, pure, and sweet
Born to glorify the Father
Born to wear the thorns for me

There’s a Rose in Bethlehem
Colored red like mercy’s blood
Tis the flower of our faith
Tis the blossom of God’s love

Though its bloom is fresh with youth
Surely what will be He knows
For a tear of morning dew
Is rolling down the Rose

Oh, Rose of Bethlehem
How lovely, pure, and sweet
Born to glorify the Father
Born to wear the thorns for me

There’s a Rose in Bethlehem
With a beauty quite divine
Perfect in this world of sin
On this silent holy night

Oh, Rose of Bethlehem
How lovely, pure, and sweet
Born to glorify the Father
Born to wear the thorns for me
